The odd (but fun!) life of a calligrapher.
I often get phone calls that would seem odd out of context. "Can you write all of my friends names on slices of wood?" Or "Can you write on vodka bottles?" Or "Can you do calligraphy at a party... in costume?" Yes, yes I can.
One of my favorite things to do is work on sample calligraphy for photo shoots. It means I get to play all day long in the studio. Cutting out shapes, drawing, using beads, wax, ribbon, glitter, and lots of double sided tape. I work with so many wonderful event planners and I am always amazed at how they are able to take their pin-board and transform it in to a real setting. Here are a few outtakes from photo-shoots I have been working on recently. Once I see the "finished" photos I will post them too.
