Liberty Love

There are few places as magical to a fabric lover as Liberty of London. Built in 1875,  it is often considered to be the world's first department store. Liberty is an exquisite Tudor revival building, laden with their famous silk scarves, fine leather goods, hats worthy of royalty, and top designer apparel and furnishings. If the name sounds familiar, it is because they have done quite a few collaborations in the last few years, Target, J.Crew and Mac Cosmetics to name a few.

I can't remember when my love affair with Liberty "art fabrics" began, but I have been coveting and collecting them for years. In fact when we planned our wedding invitations, it was a Liberty Tana Lawn Cotton that inspired our colors and our design.

Recently Liberty posted on their blog a great video showing how their fabric is printed. If you are at all curious about Liberty, or just want to see how high quality printed goods are made have a look.
