Quick DIY made with XOXO

Stamps are nice, but what can I do with them? How about a super simple DIY that is easy, fast and can be done in about 15 minutes. Make your own wrapping paper and wow your friends. Is there anything nicer then when they exclaim "it's too pretty to open!?"

Gather the following supplies:

  • Newsprint, or inexpensive pale colored paper. 18x24 sheets.
  • Watercolors, tray set like this will work fine.
  • Kathryn Murray Calligraphy Stamp of your choice.
  • Two ink pads in different colors.

First, make a quick pattern, stripes, spots, waves, or what ever feels right. This is meant to be free flowing, so don't worry about "messing up," there is no such thing. Water drops, blurred color, all add to the beauty of the pattern.

Once the paper is mostly dry, stamp a pattern on top of your painted pattern. I added the "xoxo" in red. I just eyeballed it, so they are not perfectly straight.

Then repeat the process with a second color ink. Let it dry, and you are finished! Super easy and very fast.  Use it to wrap, make cards or anything you can imagine. Happy crafting!
