World traveling photographer D'Arcy Benincosa has done it again! She has created a dream-like photoshoot, inspired by the timeless story of English lovers Tristan and Isolde. The wildflowers dotting the hillsides add a bright spot to the steel grey hills of Utah in the distance. Menus printed on muslin and rustic tableware of steel and wood add to the feeling that you are looking back in time.
A few weeks ago I was asked to be a part of a fabulous photo shoot in Silverlake (a.k.a. the Brooklyn of LA). As fall weather finally started to cool down the LA basin, the ladies of TwoFold LA set a gorgeous table laden with green pears, golden goblets, velvet monogrammed place cards, hand cut leather feathers, and sheepskin seats to keep guests warm. All the photos were taken by photographer Michael Murphree of LiteTrap Weddings. All of the sumptuous details are getting me inspired to set my own holiday table!
Last year I was fortunate enough to be invited to contribute stationery for an exquisite photo shoot in Morocco styled by the incredible ladies at Pearl & Godiva (my first project with them was described here). Each of their styled shoots seems to appear through the gauze of a dream. Veils dancing in the wind, electric orange against the desert sand, smokey eyes and beaded, belled headdresses. Ah, if only I could have fit in the envelope!
Last year I was contacted by the incredibly talented and visionary team of Pearl Collins and Sheena McDonald of Pearl & Godiva to be a part of their "Jeanne d'Arc" Inspired photo shoot. They enlisted the help of photographer D'Arcy Benincosa to bring the dream-like vision to life at the Killenure Castle in Ireland.
In the fall I had the privilege of contributing a few pieces to an "Industrial Chic" photo shoot beautifully planned and executed by one of my favorite planning teams, Bluebird Productions in Aspen Colorado. The photos shown below are all by the VERY talented Adonye Jaja. If you want to see his post about the shoot, link here.
Last summer I was asked to participate in an event called "Styled. The Workshop." The event, hosted by Amanda O'Shannessy is a two day workshop teaching photographers and event planners how to style and shoot your events (or staged events) to perfection. Here are some of the beautiful pics that came out of that event. All photos are from Tara Francis Photography.
Vivian and Matt were married in Rhinebeck, New York (Upstate) at a beautiful farm, complete with lush meadows and a rustic barn. Glamorous details of the table settings paired effortlessly with the natural woods and fields of the farm. "One part cozy and another part chic," says Style Me Pretty.
Sara & George were married last August in a colorful celebration at the exquisite River Farm (formerly owned by George Washington, yes, that George Washington) in Alexandria Virginia. Working with the bride and her fabulous planners Amber and Emily of Karson Butler Events was a dream. Sara was my favorite type of bride- one that plans WAAAAY ahead!
I have been meaning to post pictures of this gorgeous Interfaith wedding since July when it was featured on Snippet & Ink and on Maharani Weddings. The details of Gabrielle's Italian heritage and Samir's Indian culture are blended seamlessly by the talented team at Firefly Events.
